Wine Blogs Roundup 10-22-2011

Legendary architect Michael Graves had lunch with WSJ’s Lettie Teague to discuss, among other things, the enjoyment of wine. One of Graves’ all-time favorite whites is Fontana Candida Frascati, which he drank frequently while living in Rome during the 1960s.

Wine Weekly offers an interesting list of wines for Thanksgiving. And wouldn’t you know, a few of those suggested are imported by Banfi Vintners.

Paul Gregutt also offers Thanksgiving wine advice, but points out that “…there are very few wine and food matches that can go horribly wrong”, and what’s most important on the holiday is to “have enough”.

Happy Bird Day, everyone!

Joe Janish is Director of Public Relations for Banfi Vintners, a Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW), and a veteran of the wine industry for over 20 years. He launched one of the first wine blogs back in 1997, the now-defunct “Wine Dictator,” and cut his teeth on his grandfather’s homemade wine. He still keeps a copy of Wine for Dummies nearby for reference.
